What is System Texsolv

System Texsolv consists of three main parts and is a complete solution for all loom types. The three parts are: our unique heddles system with machine made heddles in polyester, a complete tie up system of polyester loop cords, and a peg locking system. System Texsolv is a well tested solution and is used all over the world. Many of the world’s loom manufacturers have Texsolv System as standard parts in their looms. Our solutions are popular in the silk hand weaving industry in Asia, where low friction and rapid loom setup is essential. It saves a lot of time and minimize problems for the weavers, which increases production. System Texsolv is developed to facilitate rapid and easy set up of the weave. The system gives the weaver a quiet and smooth weaving experience, with low friction and minimal problems. The weave will turn out smooth and even.

This is the reason why people all over the world prefer System Texsolv!

    To Measure heddles ...

If the length of a current Texsolv (of which you are after more) heddle is unknown, it can easily be measured. To do so, stretch the heddle by the use of two match sticks and hold it against a measuring tape to determine the length. Moderate tightening and do not include the joining loop.

  • If choosing to go with Texsolv heddles to replace your current string or wire heddles, it is easy to find the correct size... simply measure from the top of the top shaft bar (the part that goes up and down, of which you will have 2,4 or 8) to the bottom of the lower shaft bar. Usually you will find a number close to one of the sizes available in the list.

The Texsolv system of harness and treadle tie-up is so versatile it has the answer for any tie-up problem. The polyester loop cord is a continuous string of ” button holes” which can be threaded in and around various loom pieces and secured with either of the two pegs

Texsolv peg lock system consists of two types of pegs, Straight pegs and Anchor pegs. They are strong and durable and can withstand heavy loads. They lock the tie up cord fast and easy.

Heddle sizes for standard looms - as published by Texsolv AB Sweden

All looms are floor looms unless otherwise indicated. First numbers are millimeters; numbers in parentheses are inches. The first number of each pair is heddle length, the second number is the size of the eye. Colors indicate the color of the twist ties used to bundle the heddles. Metal heddles are measured from the middle of one heddle eye to the middle of the other. To replace a 9" metal heddle with Texsolv, for example, choose the Texsolv heddle closest to but longer than 9" (by at least 3/8") to fit around the heddle bars.
