Rigid Heddles
Additional rigid heddles are available for all Ashford rigid heddle looms. Please measure the longest timber of your current rigid heddle to ensure you have chosen the correct size for your loom.

2.5 dents per inch (10 dents per 10cm) for chunky style yarns, art yarns etc
5 dents per inch (20 dents per 10cm) to suit around a 12 ply yarn
7.5 dents per inch (30 dents per 10cm) great for 8 ply yarns - this is the one included in the loom kits
10 dents per inch (40 per 10cm) open sett on 4 ply yarns
12.5 dents per inch (50 dents per 10cm) for 4 ply yarns, with open sett on 8/2 cotton yarns
15 dents per inch (60 dents per 10cm) ideal for the finer 8/2 cottons and 8/2 (22/2) cottolins
Also available are the Vari Dent Rigid Heddle Kits. These kits contain assorted sections of all the sizes in dpi, i.e., contain 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 dpi in the one package for you to mix and match across your warp. Now you can have complete creativity warping your rigid heddle loom! Include your art yarn; warp thick, thin and anything in-between yarns to create artistic scarves, shawls and decorative homeware.

Ashford 5 20/10 This is a 5 threads per inch heddle, the 20/10 is the metric equivalent and best ignored
Order the wrong rigid heddle? Yes we will accept it back, however you will need to pay the return postage plus the postage cost for us to send the replacement heddle, noting the replacement will not be posted until we have received your return. Best to double check you are ordering the correct tpi and length required! Simply wish to send back an incorrectly ordered item? Our original post to you cost will be deducted from any credit you may be due.
