Bobbin to suit the Peacock Spinning Wheel - treadle and electronic models
These bobbins have been made to fit a Peacock spinning wheel
NO, they do not look like the ones you may have, as over the years there have been many variants in style and size/design of the flyer. To suit all models we have settled on a design which will allow some flexibility for the Peacock owner.
Removes the need in some to pack the flyer threaded section as the flyer threaded on too far, clamping the bobbin. On this bobbin, simply sand some from the front knob to ensure the bobbin spins freely
In installing the bobbin on your wheel. , the flat section goes on first, to the rear; the knob will be at the front where the flyer is attached. This ensures the brakeband lines up correctly..
Picture shows the yarn capacity is identical to two other Peacock bobbins we located!
So again, it is stated here... this is a bobbin which will fit the Peacock wheels and may be adjusted by sanding, to suit most Peacock flyer designs and sizes.
